Introduction to Training
This module focuses on the purpose behind training and the tools and techniques that are useful to design and deliver an effective training session. It is a useful follow – on module to Presentation Skills but can be taken alone. The workshop focuses on preparing and ordering content and material to make the training session relevant, interesting and engaging to the audience.

• Managing the audience and environment
• Designing a programme
• Choice of material and content
• Choice of exercises
• Understanding the pace and rhythm of a training session
• Handling questions
What you will get from this workshop:
Training requires a range of different skills which can take many years to master but for many an introduction to training is sufficient to enable them to gain confidence in preparing content to train others. This workshop explores some of the key areas that will build confidence and enable participants to build a programme from scratch and enable them to prepare to train effectively. It will also deal with how to handle audience questions that are likely to arise as part of the training session.
