Developing and Supporting Others
The ability to coach and mentor others is important in supporting the development of others so that they can work better as individuals and as a member of a team. The distinction between mentoring and coaching depends on the development level of the individual being helped. Mentoring usually applies to individuals who are still in the learning stage of a particular skill or activity whilst coaching is focused on assisting individuals make informed choices or creating options about situations that they are already familiar with.

What you will get from this workshop:
By the end of this workshop you will understand how to apply a coaching model to diagnose and help others become accountable and take responsibility for the outcomes they wish to pursue. You will learn about the importance of questioning and listening and apply this to a coaching model and understanding when more of a ‘tell’ style is appropriate. Coaching and mentoring are difficult skills and require practise however, this workshop will introduce you to the fundamentals and prepare you to start coaching and mentoring others.
