Working with others
The ability to be a team player is an important role in modern organisations and yet many organisations do not leverage their full potential if specialists work in silos rather than as part of a team. This module is about breaking down those barriers so that teamwork can deliver improvements in performance.
This workshop explores six key areas:
• Understanding motivation
• Building trust
• Understanding team dynamics
• Negotiating outcomes
• Assertiveness
• Responses to change
The Working with others workshop explores how to recognise what motivates you and how to leverage the strengths of the individuals within a team so that they can work effectively and efficiently together. We look at the importance of building trust within the team so that attitudes and beliefs are understood and aligned towards the common purpose.
We also explore how workloads can be negotiated so that outcomes can be achieved on time and the role of assertiveness in making teams work better together. Finally, we look at how people can respond differently to change so that the team can be realigned with new goals as quickly as possible.
What you will get from this workshop
You will get a good understanding of what makes a team work well together, and what steps can be taken to ensure that the team is positive and focused and willing to perform well together.
